Presentes na escalação dos principais festivais do mundo, uma das bandas que mais remixam e é remixada, abaixo estão os detalhes da missão que foi confirmar o show do Miike Snow no Rio.

Hoje em dia diversos shows internacionais vem ao Brasil – mas não ao Rio. O motivo alegado é simples e sempre o mesmo: desinteresse do público. É triste ouvir isso.

Acreditando que há sim um público interessado na cidade, semana passada, cansados de esperar, eu, Tiago Lins, Felipe Continentino, Pedro Seiler e Lucas Bori, resolvemos tentar fazer algo pra mudar essa situação.

Com a colaboração de 60 cariocas e do apoio da Tecla Music, Grupo Matriz, da produtora Das Duas e do canal Multishow, nós conseguimos! Aprendemos muito nessa última semana, sofremos com as mudanças de data, mas o que interessa é que o show está confirmado.

O Miike Snow queria tocar no Rio. Porém, o show não era confirmado porque ninguém quis arriscar pagar o custos da banda, um cachê de US$ 8 mil + 12 passagens RJ-SP, R$ 2.980 de hospedagem, alimentação e transporte, totalizando, com o dólar no valor de hoje, um valor arredondado de R$ 20 mil*.

Procuramos a produção do Circo Voador e propusemos pagar os custos da banda se eles assumissem os custos da casa (limpeza, segurança, funcionários, aluguel de equipamentos) e dividíssemos o valor do ingresso depois de descontar 5% da bilheteria relativo ao ECAD. Eles toparam.

Por email, organizamos uma campanha entre amigos para rachar os custos e viabilizar a vinda da banda. Nascia o “Miike Snow no Rio”.

Distribuímos o valor total em 100 unidades de R$ 200. Cada um que pagasse teria direito a um ingresso e, com todas as unidades vendidas, o show estaria garantido (se não fossem vendidas todas as cotas, não haveria show e o dinheiro seria devolvido).

Vencida essa primeira etapa, começaria a venda de ingressos. Com 800 vendidos todos que compraram uma unidade teriam dinheiro devolvido e assistiriam o show de graça. O prazo para confirmar com a banda era curtíssimo, menos de um dia. Mesmo assim, o objetivo foi cumprido em tempo recorde.

Não apenas 60 unidades evaporaram, como a empresa de music branding Tecla Music, Grupo Matriz e Das Duas e o canal Multishow apoiaram a mobilização e diminuíram o risco de quem pagou R$200. Agora precisam ser vendidos apenas 480 ingressos para conta empatar.

A motivação não é ganhar dinheiro com o show, embora isso possa acontecer. Nossa vontade é tirar a cidade da inércia. É quebrar este círculo vicioso (e viciado) segundo o qual o Rio não teria público que justificasse a vinda de artistas que não sejam consagrados.

Por isso quanto mais gente engajada no projeto, mais forte ele fica, em termos de repercussão na mídia, capacidade de atrair público e sucesso. O Rio nunca precisou disso, mas agora nossa força como público se faz necessária.

Isso não é campanha de nada, mas sim uma iniciativa de pessoas com vontade de continuar vivendo numa cidade interessante e heterogênea e relevante internacionalmente.
