Lúcio Ribeiro, que tem (boa) culpa no cartório pelo Miike Snow No Rio acontecer, conta mais um pouco da história. E coloca junto, para quem ainda não viu, o vídeo do Lisztomania (Rio de Janeiro Brat Pack Mashup). Se o Phoenix não veio, se dá um jeito de alcançar ele.
Miike Snow, Liztomania carioca. O Rio volta a falar: “Yes, nós temos indies”
Em agosto a Popload soltou o manifesto “Reage Rio”. A coisa estava difícil para o rock, na cidade brasileira mais bonita. Primeiro foi o baixo público no Rio em junho para os incríveis shows das bandas Girls e Men, que curiosamente fizeram lá no Circo Voador suas melhores apresentações dentro do Popload Gig 3. Novidade nenhuma, tanto pelo baixo público quanto pelo show incrível no Circo, espaço destinado a shows incríveis.
Um amigo carioca indie da gema chegou a mim e disse: “Também, marcar show no Dia dos Namorados”… Fiz cara de pastel. Logo depois, veio outra constatação para o público pequeno: “É que está fazendo frio, né?” Tudo bem que os cariocas podem estranhar sair de casa com “terríveis” 18 ºC, mas ainda assim…
Aí veio o caso Phoenix. A atração do Planeta Terra em SP estava praticamente acertada para fazer um show extra no Brasil, no Circo Voador. O grupo havia pedido para tocar no Rio de Janeiro. Mas aí, diante da hesitação carioca, veio um produtor mineiro e levou o show extra-Planeta Terra para Belo Horizonte.
Indignado com a perda, o blog carioca URBe chiou com os conterrâneos. Tascou um abaixo-assinado no blog para agitar o povo indie do Rio e tentar reverter a situação: a petição passou de pouco mais que 190 assinaturas.
Paralelo a isso tudo, estava sendo acertada para o Brasil a turnê da banda sueca Miike Snow, outro grande destaque da música independente em 2010 e presença forte nos grandes festivais mundiais, de Coachella a Glastonbury.
São Paulo, Porto Alegre e Recife se prontificaram rapidinho a receber o Miike Snow, mas, mesmo com uma data reservada para o Rio, o Circo Voador não fechou por medo de falta de público.
Aí foi demais para os indies cariocas. Indignados em ver o Rio ficar de fora da rota dos shows internacionais bacanas, cinco amigos se organizaram e com uma ação de internet compraram eles mesmos o show do Miike Snow, para estabelecer uma parceria com o Circo Voador e levar a banda sueca para tocar sim no Rio. Na rede, convenceram outras 55 pessoas a entrarem com dinheiro para, num sistema de cotas de R$ 200 cada, ajudar a pagar cachê do grupo e os custos de produção do show.
Essa história dos realizadores 60 Cariocas Empolgados, que virou nome de produção dos guerreiros (algumas poucas empresas incluídas na ação) unidos para comprar o show que queriam ver, você acompanhou aqui na Popload. Até o diário “O Globo” relatou em suas páginas (olha aí embaixo). E o especialíssimo show do Miike Snow no Rio, candidato sério a show do ano no Brasil, vai acontecer nesta segunda-feira.
Outra prova de que o Rio está reagindo, vi no Trabalho Sujo, é a galera carioca bacana que resolveu filmar na cidade sua versão para “Liztomania”. Consiste em dançar tresloucadamente e feliz a música ótima do Phoenix, mostrando sua cidade ao fundo, onda que já teve vídeos criados por moçada do Brooklyn, Paris etc. A ação é toda inspirada no delicioso mashup da música com cena do filme “Clube dos Cinco” (“Breakfast Club”), de John Hugues, que foi febre na internet no ano passado.
O resultado é até emocionante. E mostra que o Rio está reagindo!
